Ambulance Medicine Storage Monitoring
Real-Time & Mobile Monitoring
Monitoring for ambulance and EMS vehicle medicine storage compartments. Mobile gateways provide continuous temperature visibility during operations with real-time excursion alerts, ensuring medicines and emergency supplies remain within required conditions.
EMS Vehicle Medicine Oversight
Ambulance medicine storage compartments are exposed to extreme temperature swings as vehicles move between climates, and there is no practical way for crew to manually check conditions during an active response. A compromised adrenaline auto-injector or degraded controlled drug discovered during an emergency creates both a patient safety risk and a regulatory liability for the EMS operator. Seemoto provides continuous temperature monitoring of vehicle storage compartments throughout the vehicle's full duty cycle.
How it's deployed
A ruggedised wireless sensor is fixed inside the medicine storage compartment and paired with a mobile gateway that draws power from the vehicle's 12/24 V supply or an internal battery. The gateway connects to the Seemoto cloud over a cellular data connection, transmitting readings continuously whether the vehicle is in the depot, on standby, or in transit.
Evidence & Reporting
Continuous temperature logs for each vehicle's medicine storage are stored in the Seemoto cloud and can be exported as GDP-aligned compliance reports for each operational period. The records provide the EMS operator with documented evidence of storage conditions for every shift, supporting both internal medicines management audits and inspections by the national medicines authority or healthcare regulator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — where the gateway is battery-powered, monitoring continues independently of the vehicle ignition state. Battery life is sufficient to cover typical overnight parking periods, and the system flags any gap in data that could indicate a power issue requiring attention before the next shift.
Alerts are sent via SMS to configured recipients, which can include the crew's mobile numbers, the fleet manager, or a central medicines management officer. Notification rules can be configured so that crew alerts are suppressed during active responses and escalated to a supervisor instead.
Yes — each vehicle's gateway and sensors are registered under a shared fleet account, giving the medicines manager a single dashboard view showing current storage temperatures across the entire fleet. Per-vehicle compliance reports can be generated individually or as a batch for the full fleet covering any selected period.
