Pharmacy Backroom Cold Monitoring
Real-Time & Mobile Monitoring
Extends monitoring to backroom fridges, freezers, and cold storage areas behind the pharmacy counter. Combined temperature and humidity tracking with centralized alerting and dashboards covering all temperature-sensitive storage areas.
Backroom Cold Storage Coverage
Pharmacy backrooms often house multiple fridges, a freezer, and ambient storage for temperature-sensitive bulk stock, yet these areas are rarely covered by the same monitoring as the dispensary fridge. Undetected failures in backroom storage can lead to unnoticed product degradation across large quantities of stock. Seemoto extends compliance monitoring to every temperature zone behind the counter with combined temperature and humidity tracking.
How it's deployed
Multiple wireless sensors are deployed across backroom fridges, freezers, and ambient shelving, all reporting to a single gateway installed in the storage area. Humidity sensors are added alongside temperature sensors in areas where moisture control is required for product stability. A centralised dashboard consolidates all zones, so staff see the status of every backroom storage area in one place without checking individual units.
Evidence & Reporting
Seemoto produces a combined compliance report covering all monitored backroom zones, with separate data streams per sensor and a unified excursion log. Temperature and humidity records satisfy GDP storage condition documentation requirements for both refrigerated and controlled ambient products. The multi-zone report structure simplifies regulatory submissions where inspectors require evidence of monitoring across all storage areas on the premises.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — Seemoto sensors support a wide temperature range covering deep-freeze to ambient storage. Each sensor is configured with its own thresholds and is displayed as a separate zone in the dashboard and reports.
The gateway can connect via a wired Ethernet connection or, where neither is available, via a 4G cellular SIM. Sensors communicate wirelessly with the gateway over a low-power radio protocol, so no network cabling is required at the sensor locations.
Each humidity sensor is assigned its own upper and lower thresholds matching the product-specific storage requirements for that zone. Alerts follow the same SMS and email notification rules as temperature alerts and are included in the same compliance report.
