Medicine Dispenser Monitoring — Local
Real-Time & Mobile Monitoring
Temperature monitoring for medicine pickup lockers and delivery cabinets connected via local gateway. Real-time temperature data with automated alerts and GDP-compliant reporting ensures stored medications remain within safe ranges.
Locker Cabinet Temperature Control
Medicine pickup lockers and delivery cabinets hold dispensed prescriptions for collection at varying times, creating periods of unattended storage where temperature excursions can go unnoticed. A single overheated locker can compromise patient safety for multiple collected prescriptions before the issue is discovered. Seemoto monitors each cabinet continuously and alerts staff before compromised medicines reach patients.
How it's deployed
A wireless sensor is installed inside the temperature-sensitive compartment of each medicine locker or delivery cabinet and connects to a local gateway mounted nearby within the facility. The gateway links to the Seemoto cloud over the site's existing network infrastructure, requiring no modification to the cabinet hardware or dispensing software. Multiple cabinets on the same site share a single gateway.
Evidence & Reporting
GDP-compliant temperature logs are generated per cabinet, recording all readings and excursion events with timestamps tied to the specific locker unit. Reports include sensor calibration status and can be correlated with dispensing records to confirm storage conditions at the time of collection. The audit trail supports both internal quality processes and regulatory inspections by the medicines authority.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — a sensor can be placed in each temperature-controlled compartment independently, and each appears as a separate monitored unit in the dashboard. This is important where one cabinet contains both refrigerated and ambient zones with different thresholds.
The sensor continues recording locally and the gateway buffers data during any connectivity gap. Once the connection is restored, buffered readings are uploaded automatically so the compliance log contains no gaps.
Seemoto logs all temperature events with precise timestamps that can be cross-referenced against the dispensing system's collection records. This allows the pharmacy to identify which collections occurred during an excursion window and take appropriate corrective action.
