Medicine Dispenser Monitoring — Remote
Real-Time & Mobile Monitoring
GSM cellular-connected monitoring for medicine dispensers and pickup points where local network infrastructure is unavailable. Data transmits directly to the Seemoto cloud, enabling centralized monitoring across distributed and unmanned locations.
Off-Grid Dispenser Remote Oversight
Unmanned medicine dispensers at remote or public locations — kiosks, rural pickup points, or employer health stations — lack local IT infrastructure, making conventional networked monitoring impossible. Without active monitoring, a refrigeration fault at an unattended unit can go undetected for days, resulting in patient safety incidents and regulatory exposure. Seemoto's cellular-connected solution closes this gap with no local network dependency.
How it's deployed
Each dispenser unit is fitted with a wireless temperature sensor that transmits readings to an embedded GSM gateway using the mobile data network. The gateway requires only a power connection and a SIM card — no Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or on-site IT setup is needed. Multiple remote dispensers across different locations are managed from a single centralised Seemoto account, giving the responsible pharmacist full visibility regardless of physical distance.
Evidence & Reporting
GDP-compliant temperature records are generated for each remote dispenser unit, with continuous timestamped readings and excursion logs stored in the Seemoto cloud. Because the data chain is unbroken from sensor to cloud, the records demonstrate continuous monitoring even at unmanned locations — specifically required for distributed dispensing models under GDP. Reports can be downloaded centrally for all locations simultaneously, simplifying multi-site audits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Seemoto gateways support standard 4G/LTE and fall back to 3G where available. In areas with intermittent coverage, readings are buffered on the gateway and uploaded when signal is restored, ensuring no data gaps in the compliance record.
Alert recipients are configured per location and can include the responsible pharmacist, a regional manager, or a maintenance team. Each location can have its own escalation list so the right person is notified regardless of which dispenser triggers the alarm.
Seemoto's cloud dashboard shows sensor battery level and connectivity status for each unit, so the need for a site visit to replace a battery or check the hardware is visible in advance. Calibration certificates are managed centrally and replacement sensors can be shipped to the site when due.
