Commonly asked questions

Can Seemoto monitor the temperature inside trucks and trailers during transport?

Yes. Seemoto’s wireless temperature sensors can be easily installed in trucks, trailers, vans, and even cold dolly units. The system provides real-time or datalogger-based monitoring depending on your needs, ensuring goods remain within compliant temperature ranges throughout the journey.

Does the system provide real-time GPS tracking along with temperature data?

Yes. When using the Display Gateway (DGW) or other GPS-enabled gateways, Seemoto provides real-time location, route history, and point-of-interest (POI) alerts, helping logistics managers track both vehicle position and cargo condition simultaneously.

What happens if the mobile network is lost during transport?

No problem. Seemoto sensors have internal memory to store data for up to 30 days. Once a connection is re-established, either through the gateway or upon return to the terminal, all data is automatically synchronized with the Seemoto cloud service.

How are temperature excursions handled during transportation?

Seemoto offers SMS and email alerts in real-time (or upon gateway connection for dataloggers). Alerts are logged and can be reviewed via the Seemoto alert handling tool and audit reports, supporting immediate action and long-term compliance.

Can I see temperatures from the cargo space directly in the driver's cabin?

Yes. With Seemoto’s DGW (Display Gateway), drivers can see live cargo space temperatures on a mounted display. This helps ensure driver awareness and intervention during transit, especially for temperature-sensitive goods.
